The u238|AtomicPunks were a premier competition clan that played FPS style games in national ladder and league tournaments. Our main fundamental was/is friendship, because of this, through the years several members that have moved on continue to come back looking for past friends. This site will allow old members to reunite with friends and old allies.
Please, if you’re an ex u238 or an ally, register and come in and say hello.
u238|Cyborg showed up recently out of darkness of cyberspace. He did just what I hope many ex-members will do and got to wondering and thinking about the ol' days and ran across the site by accident. After talking with him we got to thinking about a possible reunion game night. Stay tuned for for information.
Monte, an old friend and ex-member of u238 contacted me today. Many of the tribes guys will remember Monte and if you ever been to the early great years of The CPL then you might remember him as well. He was one of the many that help launch The CPL into the great event it was in it's glory days. Monte left the CPL way before it's spiral of death and moved on before retiring from the gaming community (but not games). Now the great news he told me about on the phone. After a few years of being inactive in LAN and Tourney Event hosting, ASUS contacted him and offered him the oppertunity of hosting the Republic of Gamers Conference (ROGcon) in Dallas, Texas on July 18th-21st. This event will host Hard[OCP] workshops, and be sponsored by ASUS and Intell with several co-sponsers. Along with offering 'old school' gaming - Tribes, Quake, Doom and more. More information here.
Sadly it is rather quick for me to plan the entire weekend around, but I'm going to attempt to show up for atleast either Friday or Saturday if not both. Monte would love to see as many old u238 members as possible. So if you have the time, please attend. Oh, and get this, Day Passes are free and the BYOC pricing is only $20!!! What a deal.
